Submit the GPS2: Periodic Gas Piping System Certification required by Local Law 152 of 2016 and Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York (1 RCNY) §103-10.

A request for an extension of time to conduct the inspection and file the GPS2?

Documentation showing that the building is not required to undergo a gas piping inspection because there is no gas service to the building and no appliances are connected to gas service

    A signed statement from the utility company that would be responsible for providing gas service to the building containing the following:
  • The last date gas was supplied to the building; and
  • The date on which gas service was no longer provided to the building; AND
    A signed statement from the owner of the building containing the following:
  • A certification that the building no longer receives gas service; and
  • A certification that the building no longer contains appliances connected to gas piping.

If the GPS2 form indicates that conditions requiring correction were identified, these conditions must be corrected and a new GPS2 form submitted within 120 days from the date of the initial inspection. If the GPS2 form indicates that correction of condition(s) will take additional time, the condition(s) must be corrected and a new GPS2 form submitted within 180 days from the date of the initial inspection.
